Tungsten Isotope 184
The Lone Wolf Metals & Trading Company Limited specializes in supplying single crystal enriched stable Tungsten 184 W Isotope metal powder. Tungsten 184 Isotope is a stable, non-radioactive isotope of Tungsten. It is both naturally occurring and produced by fission. Tungsten is a white or grey metallic transition element, formerly called Wolfram. It forms a protective oxide in air. This element can be oxidized at high temperature.
Obtained by the plasma-arc method of growing a tungsten single crystal. Due to its high purity, Tungsten Isotope has unusual mechanical properties. At very low temperatures it retains its ductility, and almost does not lose its strength at very low temperatures. Tungsten 184 Isotope is used as a component of alloys with Uranium 235 used in solid-state nuclear rocket engines, since it is the only common tungsten isotope that has a low thermal neutron capture cross section (about 2 barn).
Stable Tungsten 184 Isotope is primarily used in the aerospace, nuclear power, and defense industries, with common uses in medicine, research and various other industrial applications.

Applications for Tungsten Isotope 184
- Electronic tubes (triodes, tetrodes, pentodes, etc.);
- Vacuum microwave devices (magnetrons, klystrons, TWT, LOV);
- Cathode-ray devices (cathode-ray tubes, picture tubes);
- Photoelectronic devices (PMT, vacuum photocells);
- Vacuum indicators (electronic light indicators, digital indicator lamps);
- X-ray tubes; and
- Accelerators of charged particles.
